The Shocking Truth Behind...

Over at the mothership last week they had a post on the all-time best Super Bowl movies. And it's a pretty mediocre list if you ask me, but that's besides the point. The point comes from the number one movie, Black Sunday, in which terrorists attempt to crash a blimp loaded with explosives into the Orange Bowl during the middle of the Super Bowl. And the guy writing the post gives a throwaway line about Osama bin Laden watching this movie and thinking about what a great idea that was.

Now I don't think bin Laden's seen this movie since a) it's bad, and b) the hero is an Israeli. Personally, you see, I think bin Laden got his idea from another source. It's a novel called Executive Orders, and it involves terrorists crashing a 747 into the capital during a joint session of Congress during a Presidential address.

In case you're interested, the un-American traitor who gave bin Laden this idea is one Tom Clancy. And I've got to confess, I have never been able to understand why Clancy has never been locked up down in Gitmo.
